Impact Zero has undertaken an energy audit for a citrus farm in the Mundubbera (QLD) area. The suggested measures included the upgrade of the current irrigation system and the shed lighting system and the implementation of PV solar system have been implemented. Measurement and Verification consultant has measured saving of 54% of the total farm consumption.

Feedlot

The energy audit of a feedlot made many recommendations such as increase efficiency of the water delivery system, a boiler economiser and boiler combustion oxygen levels, cogeneration plant and implementation of solar PV system. The estimated savings was of approximately 21% of the total energy currently used by the feedlot, divided into 64% of electricity and 14% of gas with an average payback period of 4.7 years.

Ergon Energy Multi-site Energy Management Project

Impact Zero has been working for specialist services in non-network alternative and demand management for Ergon Energy. As part of the project, Impact Zero has performed energy studies and energy audits of various level across QLD. Sites audited include school, art gallery, depot, administration buildings, pools, library and sports stadium. The aim of the project was the reduction of the Maximum Demand for the sites.

Conduct 30 Level 1 Energy Audits and 10 Level 2 Energy Audits as per AS/NZ 3698-2000. Sites include high school colleges, council office buildings, hotel, ice cream factory, winery and shopping centre. Project aim – Identify opportunities for reduction of energy consumption and Maximum Demand.
